Prior to co-founding Doberman Digital Ventures, Jakob conducted over three years of scientific research on internet companies at one of Germany's most renowned institutions for entrepreneurial education and research, Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL).

Furthermore Jakob gathered several practical experiences in established companies and start-ups (Daimler AG; Samwer Brothers) before becoming an entrepreneur within the internet industry and within the fields of real estate business himself.

Jakob holds a PhD and a Master's degree in business administration from Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) and earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.

Jakob speaks German, English, and French.

Philipp C. Dix
Managing Partner, Operations

Before building up Doberman Digital Ventures, Philipp co-founded Wimdu.com, a global market place within the travel industry with 250 employees and a funding of US $90 million from Rocket Internet and Kinnevik. Formerly based in Paris, Philipp also served as CEO of Wimdu's French entity. 

In his early career, Philipp gained professional experience within the fields of investment banking and corporate strategy at companies including Credit Suisse, Red Bull & Bertelsmann. 

Philipp received a Master's degree in business administration, a Diplôme de Grande Ecole, and a Dipl.-Kaufmann degree from ESCP Europe and holds an undergraduate degree in economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich.

Philipp speaks German, English, French, and Spanish.
